A Japanese TV writer who decided to dress his 84-year-old grandfather in a slew of designer clothes has revealed that the couple now have 100,000 Instagram followers.
Naoya Kudo returned to her hometown of Akita Prefecture in Japan last month for “Golden Week,” a special period in the country’s calendar that contains a number of national holidays.
During his week off, Mr. Kudo visited his hardworking grandfather, Tetsuya, who lives in the rural area and still cultivates the land until he is 80 years old.

The former chemistry professor isn’t used to the designer labels that celebrities and fashion-oriented young people wear these days, so for fun, Mr. Kudo decided to dress him up in his clothes.
The results became an Instagram account, slvr.tty, and the result was “better than he could have imagined”.

To keep things authentic, Tetsuya’s long underpants and patches of muscle pain on the back of her calves are still visible in most photos.
